Overview

ProGibb® LV Plus T&O is a potent plant growth regulator (PGR) that is widely used in horticulture and turf management. This gibberellic acid-based product boosts plant growth by enhancing stem elongation, promoting flowering, and improving fruit set. Notably, ProGibb® has also been shown to reduce crop time for many species.

With an optimized formulation, ProGibb provides a versatile solution across various plant types, from turfgrass to cut flowers. It has a more complete label than any other competing product, giving growers greater flexibility for applications and it is OMRI-listed, making it suitable for organic use.

Crops

ProGibb® has a broad label that covers a range of horticultural crops. For growers, it can be used on everything from bedding plants, potted plants and foliage, cut flowers, turfgrass, and other field-grown ornamentals and bulb crops. This is particularly effective on plants like camellias, azaleas, hydrangea, and many cut flowers.  For the landscape and golf industries, it has been shown to be very effective on Bermuda grass.

The complete list of crops is on the label.

Application

To promote early growth, ProGibb® application is made in the early stages of plant development. This application is especially advantageous when lower-than-normal temperatures are expected and growth is typically slowed.

On fruiting and flowering plants, a second application is made at the small fruit/bud stages to increase fruit set, stem elongation, and flower growth. The effect can be dramatic, so it is best to sample a small number of plants to gain experience with the cultivars and growing conditions.

ProGibb® has also been shown to initiate or maintain growth and prevent color change during periods of cold stress on Bermudagrass. This is a great tool for people who manage or grow turf grass.

Spraying Tips

For best results, growers should spray when daytime temperatures are 40-60°F and during the morning hours when dew is present on the foliage. When applying foliar applications of ProGibb® spray plants to runoff. The actual spray application rate will vary depending on plant size and spacing density. Applicators must thoroughly spray to full coverage as only the plant parts covered with the ProGibb® spray solution will be affected. Plant parts not directly covered will not respond to the application.

As always, be sure to consult the label for specific safety information and application instructions.
