MycoApply 2021 Ornamental Trials
Our early summer MycoApply trials, conducted in Columbus Ohio, and displayed in-person at the Cultvate’21 Trade Show, demonstrate the dramatic effects that mycorrhizae can have on a number of crops:
The results shown in the photos are after just 7 weeks and a couple of days after treatment. The Dahlia had several casualties in the untreated group and we only observed one near casualty in the treated group. Overall, every plant in the treated group overcame significant heat stress, their roots and foliage were healthier and more robust and the blooms were more frequent in the treated group.
All plants were grown at a local Ohio greenhouse and all experienced severe heat stress when summer temperatures in Ohio hovered around the mid-90’s for days at a time on and off for several weeks. Dahlia also experienced stress from over-watering while being outdoors during a week of heavy rainfall and had to make recovery from that as well.
